Radiant Group is a renowned family of three well-established companies and those are Radiant Marine Design & Services Limited (RMDSL), Radiant Shipyard Limited (RSL) and Radiant Dredging Limited (RDL) . All companies are distinct and focus on catering to customer needs and fulfilling their demands with the best quality service in class. As a group, Radiant works endlessly to provide end-to-end solutions to its customers.
Radiant Marine Design & Services Limited was initially formed in 2010 by three naval architects with a view to design reliable ships for the country. All the three were members of panel supervisors, who were authorized to design and approve inland vessels of the ministry of shipping. Since they were well acquainted in the shipping industry, so from the very beginning ship owners confidently came forward with orders. In the first year they designed more than 50 inland ships, built pontoons, house boat & work boat of dredgers. The company acquired 12.5% share of T K Shipyard, near Meghnaghat in 2010. It took up design and construction supervision work of five 2300 DWT cargo vessels for seven circle (BD) Limited.
In the meantime Radiant Shipyard, a sister concern of RMDSL was established in Rupgonj, Narayangonj over a 12 acre land beside the river Shitalakhya. Then came the breakthrough in April, 2012, when three orders of Coastal oil tankers was placed. These ships were to be classed. Keel laying was done on 22n June, 2012. Six months later orders of two more seagoing oil tankers and a fishing trawler was placed by Partex group. Keel laying ceremony was held on 09th November, 2012. All the designs were made by RMDS and was duly approved by the classification society RINA.
Additionally a contract was won for a 115m (single span) steel truss for Highway Bridge of the Roads and highways department in Sylhet with Chinese assistance and another 101m in Gopalganj was taken up. It is also engaged in steel works of gas fields and piping works for BIWTA.
